How I Cast A Love Spell
I often get asked how I cast a spell for love for my clients, so I thought I would try to give a little outline as to what goes on when I cast a love spells for you without giving away too many of my secrets! Whilst I cannot give you the exact spell wording, nor tell you how to do it for yourself, I can give you general guidelines as to how I work for you. Successful spell casting really does take years of practice and plenty of meditation to raise psychic awareness and to control your mind, to be able to enter the "place between the worlds".
The Circle
The first thing I do is to cast the Circle, which is a sacred space beyond space, a time beyond time. When I cast a circle, I create a temple between the worlds so that I am quite literally half in the physical world here on earth and half in the spiritual world. This becomes a holy place of power, where the creative forces of the Universe gather with me and become a part of me. Usually I will use my own indoor temple room, but if the weather is good I often like to work outside in my garden temple set amongst the trees.
The Circle is a symbol of Oneness, the part of creation that brings the Universe into manifestation. It is also a circle of protection, a higher vibration of spiritual energies, creating a refuge and a sanctuary. The circle becomes the outline of the the eternal Sun, and of the ever-changing Moon, going through their life cycles. It is the shape of Mother Earth, solid and stable, yet passing through the seasons. Everything changes. Everything goes in a circle. It is also the microcosm of the Universe itself. "As above, so below" say the Hermetic Masters. Whatever I create for you in this miniature Universe, in this most sacred of spaces, is destined to manifest in the outer world - the world that you live in and call planet Earth. Your physical everyday world. When I create the intention, the energy of image of something in this magic circle - the love you so want, the relationship you desire, your love spell itself, or even prosperity or healing - I am also creating a large reflection of it in the waking, physical world that you live in. Here, between the worlds in the Circle, anything done is magnified. It is like a big Cosmic magnifying glass, a mystical lens through which I magnify the intention of the love spell. Like a laser beam, it focuses my Will into a sharp, powerful beam of light, communicating the intention of the spell into the Universe.
The Sacred Space of the Circle is cleansed before each use, using incense or salt water. Often I will also use psychic cleansing to make sure that any mischievous spirits are gone before I start my work.
Before I go into this Sacred Circle, I will usually bathe, or pass through the smoke of a cleansing, purifying incense. I will often have gone into meditation beforehand for at least half an hour, to quieten my mind of the day's thoughts and emotions, so that I go into the Circle with a completely clear mind, balanced and whole. I usually wear a robe because putting this on, again tells my subconscious mind that I am entering a magical place, apart from the physical world. Ritual clothing creates a boundary to step through, like passing from one side of the veil to the next. Some witches work naked. I tend not to do this as I live in a cold damp part of the world!
My working altar is always set up in the centre of the Circle, whether I am working in my indoor temple or outside in my garden temple.
The Love Spell Rite
Once the cleansing of both the Sacred Circle and myself has been done, I then state the intention of my evening's work - usually a love spell type of magic, and call upon the Circle itself to partner with the power of the Moon and the Moon Goddess. I also call forth my Spirit Guides. I have a number of Guides, but the most usual Guide who comes to me shows himself in the shape of a beautiful black panther. This is nothing to be frightened about. If I cast a love spell for you, you will not get a black panther following you around! Spirit Guides are pure energy, they don't have physical bodies, and so can therefore take any form which they feel may be relevant to me and to which I can most associate. I am a lover of cats, so my Guide takes the form of a black panther, one of the sleekest and most beautiful of all wild cats. There is also a wonderful Guide who looks very similar to Aphrodite, the goddess of Love. Although my panther Guide is black in colour, these are not "black" spirits or demons, they are Higher Powers of Good and of Love, tremendously powerful. They do have names of course, but these names are not for public knowledge on this website.
Many different magical Rites can then be done within this Circle, according to what spell I am actually casting, or even the times of the year or lunar calendar. I have various different magical items, such as a chalice, a wand, my athame [magical knife], a pentagram, a sword, all used to raise power and direct the powers for you and your wishes.
Raising energy for the love spell is done in many different ways. Many are quite subtle, whilst others are more extrovert. I visualise strongly whilst doing the spells, and send my Will out into the Universe, carrying your requests. Incense and candles add to the atmopshere and to the energies raised.
A Cone of Power is raised and the main love spell casting is now undertaken, the full details of which are secret and known only to myself, and then after the spell is cast I release the energies back into the Universe and quite literally "let go" of them, which is the secret of all good spell work. You have to release your thoughts so that the energies from them can carry to where they need to go. Each love spell casting that I do requires a separate Cone of Power to be raised and let go.
Once the energy has been released, I will then stand in the circle for a while, arms crossed over my heart, in quiet reflection. This is when I get the feedback from my spell casting for you, receiving psychic impressions as to how the spell will manifest, what is happening, any information that my Guides want to impart for you.
Grounding
After the last Cone of Power is released, I ground myself, releasing any excess energy back into the ground itself, into Mother Earth, offering it to the Earth Goddess. If I do not ground myself I end up "spacey" and high and can never sleep, so grounding is always necessary. The high level of energy obtained during the spell casting is meant for circle work, for a short period of time only, but is too unstable to remain in the human body outside of the Circle itself.
Final Blessing and Request To Depart
I then repeat the words of the blessing, ask that all those names mentioned in this Circle receive the Light and Healing that they need, and the wishes that they require, for the highest good of all, harming none.
All my Spirit Guides are then asked to depart, and I thank them for their help and kindness. The Magical Circle is then broken by releasing the North, South, East and West Quarters, counter-clockwise.
